一、本系介紹

南京大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系建于1921年，是國(guó)內(nèi)第一個(gè)現(xiàn)代數(shù)學(xué)系，首任系主任是熊慶來(lái)教授，歷經(jīng)國(guó)立東南大學(xué)、國(guó)立中央大學(xué)時(shí)期，建國(guó)后更名為南京大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系。

南京大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系自成立以來(lái)，在國(guó)內(nèi)外享有盛譽(yù)。我系一直強(qiáng)調(diào)高質(zhì)量的人才培養(yǎng)和科學(xué)研究，對(duì)中國(guó)高等教育的貢獻(xiàn)受到高度認(rèn)可，產(chǎn)生的深遠(yuǎn)影響涉及多個(gè)數(shù)學(xué)研究領(lǐng)域，包括動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)、數(shù)論、K-理論和同調(diào)代數(shù)、微分方程、科學(xué)計(jì)算、運(yùn)籌學(xué)與優(yōu)化、數(shù)理邏輯等。

二、招聘崗位設(shè)置

Description

The Department of Mathematics at Nanjing University, China solicits applicants for four tenure-track positions at assistant professor level. The minimum requirement is Ph.D. degree in any field of pure and applied mathematics. The following directions should be primarily considered, in particular, those marked with *:

(1) Algebra and Number theory

(2) Differential equations and Dynamical system

(3) Analysis or Applied analysis

(4) *Geometry and Topology

(5) *Mathematical Logic and Combinatorics

(6) *Scientific computation and Optimizations

(7) *Probability and Statistics

 Nanjing University is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in China. The Department of Mathematics, founded in 1921, has built up a high reputation around the world and has been highly recognized for its outstanding contribution to the higher education and its enormous influences in many areas of mathematical researches.

The organization of faculty members in the department is relatively relaxing and of harmonious atmosphere. Many national level awards have been granted to the faculty members recently, such as the Second National Prize of Natural Sciences, Morningside Medals of Mathematics, etc., and almost all members are Principal Investigators of one or more projects of the Natural Science Foundation of China. The senior members enhance the reputation of Department, but Department provides the considerably concerns and supports to junior members.

Qualifications

? Applicants should have a PhD degree in Mathematics.
